EAST LEBANON – Frank M. Butler Sr., 89, of Upper Guinea Road died Saturday at the Maine Stay Nursing Home in Sanford after a long illness.
He was born January 13, 1903, in Bassett, Nebraska, a son of Charles and Eliza Maulding Butler.
He was a Marine Corps Veteran.
Mr. Butler lived in East Lebanon for more than 25 years, after moving from Sanford.
He worked at the former Brooks Woolen Mills for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary Jane Bernier Butler of Sanford; six sons, Frank M. Jr. of Springvale, Edward, Roger and Ronald, all of Sanford, David of Middleton, NH, and Charles of Lebanon; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Laurette) Cole of Sanford, Mrs. Joseph (Rena) Plumer of Florida and Mrs. William (Pearl) Tuttle of Alfred; a sister Pearl Falk of Omaha, Neb.; 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
