Sgt William Charles Fonner
Birth: Dec. 24, 1929
Washington
Washington County
Pennsylvania, USA
Death: Feb. 13, 1951, South Korea

Bill was an adventurous, loving, caring and daring person.

A tremendous athlete and fierce competitor. He never shyed away from a fray and took up for his friends when the odds weren't favorable.

He applied that same style in leading his men. Always the first one to take a risk.

He gave his all and we remember his smile and big heart.

He shipped out for Korea September 1950.

He endured a torturous sub zero winter with his troops.

The 187th RCT was overrun by the Chinese million man offensive in February 1951
