Mrs. Lillian Margaret Boehnke, the daughter of Carl F. and Emma Elizabeth (Jante) Hollatz was born August 25, 1914 on a farm northeast of Garner. She was Baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in rural Garner. She attended St. John's Parochial School and later graduated from Garner High School in 1932. Nov. 17, 1935, she was married to Arthur Emil Boehnke at St. John's Lutheran Church. On November 17, 1989 they celebrated their fifty-fourth wedding anniversary. They farmed northeast of Garner, until 1974 when they retired and moved into Garner.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur; her children, Robert, Philip, Mark, Ruth, and Dale, grandchildren, her brother LeRoy Hollatz; two sisters, Mrs. Laura (Earl) Boehnke, Mrs. Verna (Norman) Rankin and masny friends.
She was preceded in deaath by her parents.
