Daughter of William and Polly Greenman. Married Albert L. Forward in 1878 in Whiteside Co., IL. Six children. Her obituary appeared in the Sterling Gazette, Jan. 2, 1952:
FANNIE R. FORWARD, 91, SUCCUMBS AT TAMPICO
TAMPICO - Mrs. Fannie R. Forward, 91, passed away Dec. 31, at 11:45 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lena Glassburn of Tampico. Mrs. Forward had been ill 14 years and bedfast for four years. She had lived in the homes of Mrs. Glassburn and that of another daughter, Mrs. Ethel Forward over this period.
Funeral services will be at the Parent chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday, with Ellis Beeman, pastor of the Church of Christ, officiating. Committal will be in Tampico Memorial cemetery.
Mrs. Forward was born at Leon Aug. 17, 1860, the daughter of William and Polly Greenman. She had resided in this area all of her life. She was married to Albert L. Forward, June 29, 1878.
Six children were born to the union, three whom survived, Mrs. Glassburn and Mrs. Forward, both of Tampico, and George Forward of Dixon. There are 15 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren also surviving: two brothers, Charles Greenman of Virginia, Canada, and Jay Greenman of Sterling and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Morse of Cheyenne, Wyo.
She was preceded in death by her husband and three daughters, Mrs. Mabel Donnelly, Bessie Forward, and an infant daughter, Jessie.
