Donald Bovee, 82, of Hesperia, CA died August 31, 2007 at Knolls West. Born in Ontario, California, he resided there for 64 years. Mr. Bovee was an engineer with the Ontario Fire Department for 28 years and retired in 1980. He attended Chaffey High School and served in the United States Army in the Parachute Infantry. Mr. Bovee was a member of First Baptist Church of Hesperia, CA. He enjoyed cooking, woodworking and traveling. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alverda Bovee; daughter, Sandra and husband Mike of Apple Valley, CA; sons, Tony and wife Marilyn of Missouri, Tracy and wife Theresa of Dana Point, Alan and wife Debbie of New Mexico; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held today, September 5, 2007 at 9 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 9280 Maple Ave., Hesperia, CA. Burial will be in Desert View Memorial Park, 11500 Amargosa Rd., Victorville, CA. Desert View Mortuary entrusted with arrangements.
