Co.E,1st Va.Cav.Regt. d. near Arbor Hill.
On last Sunday morning about 10 o'clock, Mr. Wm. Wallace, of Greenville, a son of Mrs. W.W. King, was found dead in his bed, at the residence of his brother-in-law---J.N. McFarland. He had been suffering, for some time, with an abscess on his leg. Sunday morning he sat upon the side of his bed and gave some directions to a negro about his horse, and when the negro returned in about fifteen minutes he found him dead. The cause of his sudden death is unknown, some attributing it to rheumatism of the heart and others to apoplexy.
The deceased was about 35 years of age, and a most worthy young man. His funeral took place at Bethel yesterday evening at 1 o'clock.
