Oliver Olson was born in Sweden and immigrated to the U.S. in 1873. He married Bertha Hannson, a widow, in 1883 and adopted her three children. Oliver made the Land Run of 1891 into Oklahoma Territory and homesteaded 160 acres in the N.W. corner of Lincoln County. He and Bertie lived out the rest of their lives on this farm.
Oliver was educated and owned several law books which he read and studied. He later became a naturalzed American citizen. Oliver may have been married before his marriage to Bertie, but I cannot prove that at this time.
