The 1870 U.S. Census for Kalamo Twp. showed William, 28, a farmer, apparently remarried to Jane, 18 (possibly nee Babcock) with his son, Robert, 2, both born in Michigan. Also in the household were Mills, Mary, 31, Millie, 16, both born in Ohio. It is unknown that their relationship to Robert was.

The 1880 U.S. Census for Kalamo Twp., listed William Jordan as 38, a farmer, with wife, Jane T., 26, keeping house, born in Michigan with both parents born in New York. "Robbie" (Robert) L., was 11, at school. Additional children were Pearley L., 8, daughter, Terry B., 7, a son both at school, and Effie, M., 3 a daughter, all born in Michigan.

The 1900 U.S. Census for Kalamo Twp. showed William, as head of the household, now 58 years old, married for 30 years. also listed were his wife, Jane T. Jordan, born Sept. 1852, 47, also married for 30 years with 5 of 5 children living. Their son, Clifford was shown, born Feb. 1882, 18, a blacksmith, and daughter, Mary, born Sept. 1883, 16, in school, both born in Michigan. The 1910 U.S. Census showed that the children had left the household and that William, now 68, and Jane, 58, had moved to the 4th Ward, city of Charlotte, still in Eaton, County Michigan.

It is likely that Jane died prior to the compilation of the 1920 U.S. Census for Carmel Twp. near Charlotte, head of household, 78, married, emigrated to the U.S. in 1852, was naturalized, no occupation shown (apparently retired), now married to Clara A. Jordon, 63, NY, NY.

A photo of Robert as an older veteran is displayed in the Company A frame in Casement Hall, 103rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry Grounds in Sheffield Lake, Ohio. It should be mentioned that Ancestry Family Trees erroneously noted that he died in 1918.
