Daughter of Milton and Margaret (Desmond) Gaskill. 1st married to Elmont F. Preston in Jackson Co., MO. Mother of Ethel Mae Preston b. 1915 d. 1916 age 6mo. Buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. William Milton Preston b. 1917 d. 1918 in Kearney, Buffalo, NE. and Robert Edwin Preston, only surviving child. Married 2nd to George Gilllespie Baker, 23 Sept 1923, in Sidney, IA. In 1946, bought a farm near Dawson, NE where George and Mae lived until they retired to Nebraska City in 1974. All the years spent on the farm, Mae cooked on a woodburning stove and there was no running water in their home.
