Son of Lillian M. (Engvall) Edgerton (1896-1982) and Bryant Clinton Edgerton (1898-1985) of Stratford, Conn.

George was the beloved husband of Elaine (Boscaini) Edgerton and father of their only child, Elizabeth-Ann Edgerton, who both survive him.

George was the Grandson of Hannah Jane (Bedford) Edgerton (1873-1963) and Albert Clinton Edgerton (1869-1958) who were married on 27 Oct 1896 in New Britain, Connecticut and are buried in
Union Cemetery Assn. 23 Temple Court Stratford, Conn.

Upon his return home he was the leader of the Troopers Drum Corps.

George was a 42 year resident of Monroe, (FAIRFIELD COUNTY) Conn.

During the 1970s, he was active in the Bridgeport Lions Club.

Before his retirement he was owner and operator of G. L. Edgerton Co., Inc., a heat and air conditioning duct cleaning business.

After his retirement, he worked for John Mini Landscaping.

George loved miniature railroads and was founder of the Connecticut "G" Scalers garden railroad club. His own garden railroad had been featured in several magazines and the New York Times.

All the garden railroads in George's back yard were designed and built by him, Elaine, and Elizabeth. His daughter, Elizabeth, took these great pictures.

George is also survived by Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law Secondo & Dolores Gori of Bridgeport;

GG Grandson of Clinton Dewitt Edgerton and Mary Amelia (Fox) Edgerton of New Hartford, Conn. who were married 4 July 1837 in Canton, Connecticut. Clinton Dewitt was the son of Joshua and Roxanna Edgerton and born 17 April 1814 in upper New York. He died 30 May 1883 in Hartford, Conn.
Mary Amelia was the daughter of Ornan and Nancy (Mills) Fox.
She was born 17 June 1817 in New Boston, Mass. and died 10 Jan 1907 in Hartford, Conn. She and her husband, Clinton Dewitt, are buried in the Old North Cemetery in Hartford, Conn.
