Mr. Louis Barth one of Sioux County's pioneers and one of the remaining five of G.A.R. Post at Hull died, at his home in Hull at the age of seventy nine years, and nine months. Mr. Barth had been an invalid for the last four years, as a result of an accident which dislocated his hip, and has borne his sufferings with patience up to the time of his demise, Mr. Barth's many children were ar his bedside for several days prior to his death who together with his loving wife have the sympathy of the entire community. The funeral took place Saturday at Hull. Rev. Father Wrenn sang High Mass, after which Rev. Father O'Rielly of Rock Valley preached a beautiful funeral sermon. As a tribute of respect to the departed veteran, the members of Cottrell Corps, No. 7, W.R.S. Hull Iowa attended in a body.

Mr. Joe Barth and son Lewis of Forest City, Mr & Mrs. John Quinn of Lemars, Mr. & Mrs. Fitzgerald of RockRapids; Mrs. Bellesfield, Mr. & Mrs. Deerbourne, Mr. & Mrs. W. Murphy, Mr. Jim Quinlin and Geroge Griffin and family from Rock Valley and Mr.W. Griffen of Marshall and Mrs Ross and family from Sioux Center.
