Professor Edmund L. Patton died last evening at 8PM after a short illness at his home at the Madeira Apartments, 711 Twenty-second Street Northwest in the eighty-first year of his age.

He retired from the latter institution in 1898 since which time he has made his home with his two sons, W.E. Patton, clerk in the War Department and Lieutenant Commander J.B.
