Luella Eaton Owens died June 14, 2013, in Mesa.
She was born Oct. 11, 1935, in Kline, Colo., and then moved to Globe when she was 7 years old.
She married Troy Owens April 18, 1953. They lived in Show Low, where they had five children: Vonnie (Ken) Armstrong, Troy Owens Jr. (deceased), Starla (Curtis) Adams, Rauna (Angelo) Tulumello and Mike (Laurie) Owens. The family moved to Mesa in 1977, where they lived out their lives. Troy passed away in 2005.
Her jobs included being a waitress in Show Low and then a secretary for the Mesa courts. She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the family history center for four years. Luella loved serving others. Her whole life was all about her family and helping others when she could.
Luella was preceded in death by her husband Troy and son Troy Jr.
She leaves a posterity of four children, 25 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way, along with her siblings: Lee (Norma) Eaton, Lenna Dempsey, Reed (Ellen) Eaton, Hugh (Jane) Eaton, Dean (Caroline) Eaton and Freddie Beavers.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 21, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2835 E. Des Moines in Mesa. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at the Show Low Cemetery.
