Footballer, Winger. He was regarded by his manager Matt Busby as "the best outside left in the country." Busby held him in high regard for his exceptional footballing abilities and contribution to the team.

Pegg perished when the Ambassador carrying the Manchester United team crashed at the Munich-Riem Airport at 3:04 p.m. on February 6, 1958. 22 others were killed in the air crash.
