Memories of Stan Weston
(by iowahillgal)

Stan was a fixture in Iowa Hill, Placer Co., California when I was growing up in the 1950's and early 1960's. We referred to him as "Stan the Man," and if you asked him to help you on something he would always say, "Let's give ‘er a reading." Another favorite phrase was "goose it!"

Elsie Bailey, mother of the schoolteacher Zoe Belieu (Memorial #82707043), sort of adopted Stan, and he remained a part of Zoe's life until his death from cancer in 1985 at age 70.
