Julius Streicher
Birth: Feb. 22, 1885
Death: Oct. 16, 1946

Nazi German World War II War Criminal. Anti-semitic journalist whose newspaper 'Der Stuermer' was a main vehicle for 'popularising' Nazi attitudes to Jewry. Stole large amounts of 'confiscated' Jewish property whilst a Nazi gauleiter. Eventually his bizarre behaviour became too much even for Hitler and he was dismissed from all party posts in 1940, although continuing as editor of 'Der Stuermer'. Convicted at Nuremberg of racial persecution and crimes against humanity. His remains were cremated in the oven at Dachau concentration camp along with many other Nazi criminals. The ashes were raked out and scattered in an unknown river.
