The Carnine family from Holland immigrated about 1640 and settled for four generationsin The New York area, then Andrew was born 1761 in Bound Brook, Somerset County, New Jersey, He moved to Berkley County, Virginia where he joined the Continetal Army. After the Revolutionary War,where he served as a Private, Andrew moved to Henry County, Kenticky. His first son, Dr Richard Carnine was born in New Jersey 1786, married in Shelby County Kentucky, 1809, and then moved to Pleasant, Switzerland County, Indianna where Richard was born 1828, close to 200 years after Leendert Phillipse (Conyn) Konyn immigrated from Ghent, Holland. Richard married 1850 and in 1855 visited Morrison, Ill for a year, but made it their permant home. They lived on a farm in Mt Pleasant Twp. Whiteside County, Illinois until 1881 when they moved into Morrison. After his wife died, he went to live with his daughter Jessie in Fargo, where he passed away 1902.
