BOWDEN, Richard E. age 67 of Miami Township. Passed away Saturday, March 31 at Sycamore Glen Health Center. Diagnosed March 3, 2007 with ALS - Lou Gehrig's disease.


Preceded in death by parents George and Wilma Bowden and younger sister Barbara Sheridan. Survived by wife of 44 years. Daughter. Grandsons. Son. Grandchildren. Brothers. Brother-in- law. Sisters. Numerous nieces and nephews. Graduated West Carrollton High School Class of 1957. Retired as Systems Technician from Ohio Bell/ATT/Lucent Technologies in 1991. Employed by Emery Communications until 2001. Lifetime Member of CWA Union 4322. Veteran of the US Army. Member of Zion Lutheran Church, Miami Township, for 42 years.


Body gifted to Wright State University School of Medicine. Visitation at Zion Lutheran Church. Memorial Service, with Pastor John L. Johansen officiating, at Zion Lutheran Church, 5550 Munger Road, Dayton, Ohio 45459.
