Indian Wars Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Private in the United States Army in Company C, 2nd US Cavalry. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action at Little Blue, Nebraska on May 15, 1870. His citation reads "Gallantry in action." (bio by: Don Morfe)
