Augustus Barry
Birth: 1840
Death: Aug. 3, 1871

Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Sergeant Major in the Union Army in the 16th US Infantry. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action during the years 1863-1865 in Tennessee and Georgia. His citation reads "Gallantry in various actions during the rebellion." (bio by: Don Morfe)
