JEFFERSONVILLE EVENING NEWS OBITUARY 05/21/2002
Funeral services for Anthony Leander Glotzbach, 87, of Charlestown, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, at St. Michaels Catholic Church, Charlestown, with burial in St. Michaels Cemetery. He died Sunday, May 19, 2002, at Providence Retirement Home, New Albany. He was a native of Lanesville, a retired truck driver and the owner of the old Charlestown Transfer. He was also a former volunteer for the United Church Ministries and a maintenance man at St. Michael's Catholic Church. He was a member of St. Michaels Church and a member of the church choir. Survivors include two sons, Anthony R. and Patrick J. Glotzbach, New Albany; three daughters, Jane Mongin, Beaver Creek, Ohio, Pauline Bourne, Jeffersonville and Sharon Glotzbach, Charlestown, who was also his caregiver; a brother, Bernie Glotzbach, New Albany; a sister, Cecilia Wiseman, Louisville; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, will be from noon to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 21 and from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Providence Retirement Home, American Cancer Society or St. Michaels Catholic Church.

Glotzbach, both of New Albany; three daughters, Pauline Bourne of Jeffersonville, Jane Mongin of Beaver Creek, Ohio and Sharon Glotzbach; a brother, Bernie Glotzbach of New Albany; a sister, Cecilia Wiseman of Louisville; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services are 11 a.m. tomorrow at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is noon to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. tomorrow at Grayson Funeral Home. A prayer service is 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may go to Providence Retirement Home, the American Cancer Society or the church.

Glotzbach, both of New Albany, IN; three daughters, Pauline Bourne of Jeffersonville, IN, Jane Mongin of Beaver Creek, OH and Sharon Glotzbach, who cared for him, of Charlestown; one brother, Bernie Glotzbach of New Albany; one sister, Cecilia Wiseman of Louisville, KY; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 12-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with a prayer service at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Providence Retirement Home, the American Cancer Society or St. Michael's Catholic Church.
