Jane was the fourth daughter born to John Ervine (sometimes spelled Irving or Ervin) and Mary Hines Munro. She grew up in the Bristol area of Maine.
On July 31, 1877, she married Corydon Lee Hodge, son of Charles Dexter Hodge and Rosina Cutler. Shortly after the birth of her first and only child, Jennie, Corydon died. She married George Green on Jun 9, 1884 and they made their life in Saco, Maine.
In the 1910 census, she listed that she had 2 children, with only 1 living, but no information on this second child has been found yet.
She eventually died of cancer.
