Jennie was the only child of Corydon Lee Hodge and Jane Ervine. Her father passed away shortly after her birth and her mother married George Green in 1884. She was close to her step-father.
On 18 Nov 1900, she married Edward "Della" Greenwood. Together they had nine children, however only three of them survived her.
She passed away after a long illness and was buried with her husband.
