Thelma Mary Bailey, 93, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at Lexington, Mo.
Mrs. Bailey was born April 23, 1906, in Camden, Mo., to William Archie and Maude (Stanley) Coffer. The majority of her lifetime was spent in this area. She was employed at North American Aviation Plant and was a baker at the Royal Hotel for over 20 years.
On Jan. 12, 1924, she married Bill Bailey near Richmond, Mo. Bill preceded her in her in death in 1967. She was the oldest member of Pisgah Baptist Church. Thelma was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters and one son. She is survived by a daughter, Annabelle Pape of Sweet Springs; a son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Carol Bailey of Excelsior Springs; eight grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, at Polley Funeral Home with visitation from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Lutheran Good Shepherd Home in Concordia, Mo.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m., Tuesday.
Services are under the direction of Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo.
