A LITTL[E] BOY DIED FROM BURNS
Little William Luther COLE, the 21 months old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. COLE, died Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the effects of burns which he received last Saturday three weeks ago. Everything that was possible was done for him, but despite all this, he died Monday at the hour stated. The grief-stricken parents have the deep sympathy of their many friends in their bereavement. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the home, No. 212 Twenty-sixth street, conducted by Rev. J. G. HARRISON [of Broad Street Church], the interment being at Clapp's Factory burying ground above the city.
[Columbus (GA) Daily Enquirer-Sun newspaper, Wednesday, 24 FEB 1904] IS NOT NOW USED FOR BURIAL PURPOSES A day or two ago in a notice which appeared in The Enquirer-Sun of the funeral and place of interment of little William Luther Cole, it was stated that the interment would be at Clapp's Factory burying ground. This statement was incorrect, as the interment was at Girard Cemetery. The Clapp's burying ground is not being used for burial purposes any longer, having been closed to the public.
