7th of nine children born to Henry Charles TULL and Mary FREEMAN

Birth: The 1850 Census shows John Henry Tull being born in North Carolina, but every subsequent Census record, including the Kansas State Census, lists Missouri as his birthplace

Homestead: On 20 Jan 1872, agricultural Scrip Patent #1428 for 160 acres in Section 12 of Township 6S Range 5E in Riley County, Kansas was granted

Marriage (1): ~1859 (The 1860 Census shows John living with the James Stewart family with a daughter Martha A. Tull age 1; Martha never appears again in the historical record); her mother is unknown

Marriage (2): 1 Mar 1863 to Fanny Choate in Marshall County, Kansas; Fanny died in 1870

Marriage (3): May 1876 to Frances "Fannie" Augusta Middlebrook Pomeroy

In the 1875 Kansas State Census, John H. is living in May Day, Riley County, with the Pomeroy family (his wife died in 1870), headed by Frances "Fannie" Augusta Middlebrook Pomeroy, whose first husband had died in 1874. Sons George and William are living in Aubry County with the Hachenshute family. No sign of Clara. The following year he married Fannie. (Two of his wives were named Fanny/Fannie.)
