He was born on September 16, 1946, in Parkston, S.D., to Sam and Vi (Rus) DeBoer. He came to the Gallatin Valley as a young boy and attended Manhattan Christian School and then graduated from Manhattan High School. He then attended the Denver Institute of Technology, where he studied electronics.
Victor served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.
He resided in Manhattan with his two sons, Craig, 22, and Mark, 20. He was employed by U.S. West Communications for the past 22 years. He loved quality time with his family and enjoyed all outdoor sports, especially horseback riding.
He is survived by his fiancé, Patty Flyn, of Billings; two sons, Craig DeBoer of Bozeman and Mark DeBoer of Helena; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug DeBoer of Billings, David and Karen DeBoer of Billings and Sam Jr. and Carla DeBoer of Bozeman; his parents, Sam Sr. and Vi DeBoer of Manhattan; one grandson, Markus DeBoer of Boulder; and nephews Joshua and Dusty DeBoer.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 6, 1994 at 10 a.m. in the Bethel Christian Reformed Church. Interment will follow in the Churchill Cemetery.
