Andrew J. Tozier
Birth: Feb. 11, 1838
Death: Mar. 28, 1910

Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served during the Civil War as a First Sergeant in Company I, 20th Maine Volunteer Infantry. He was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor during the defense of Little Round Top, at the battle of Gettysburg, July 1863. The citation reads: "At the crisis of this engagement this soldier, a color bearer, stood alone in an advanced position, the regiment having been borne back, and defended his colors with musket and ammuntion picked up at his feet."
