Known throughout the quilting community, Mary Ellen Hopkins was a dynamic speaker and enthusiastic teacher. Author of It's Okay If You Sit On My Quilt, Connecting Up, and Log Cabin Notebook, to name a few. She started her own publishing company and has authored 11 books on quilting. She taught classes and gave lectures all over the U.S. and the world. Known for 'bending the rules' of quilting, she marched to her own drummer. She inspired her quilting students with humor and joy and will be sadly missed.
