Bartlett Capps, Aged 83, Died Thursday, Funeral Saturday
Bartlett Capps, eighty-three years old, died of the infirmities of advanced age at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. T. Capps, 412 East Walnut street, at 5:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon. He is survived by his daughters, Mrs. Capps and Mrs. W.M. Tillery, of Osceoloa, and his son, W.B. Capps, of Iola, Kas.
Mr. Capps was born in Lincoln county, and was married there to Miss Mary Ellen Hendricks, July sixteenth, 1863. She died here three years ago. He came with his wife to Nevada seven years ago from Collins, Mo., where they had lived more than forty years, to live with their daughter and Mr. Capps.
Mr. Capps had been a member of the Christian church for more than fifty years and was a sincere Christian man. He leaves many friends to mourn his death. The funeral will be conducted by Rev. Blalock and Rev. Stout at the home Saturday and interment will be at Newton Burial Park.
The funeral will be held at the residence, 412 East Walnut street, at 2:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon.
