FRANK NEWTON BYWATERS, 20 West Franklin Street, died at his home Wednesday morning at 8 o'clock of complications after an illness of six months, aged 61 years.
He was born in Luray, Va., the son of George E. and Rebecca (Gochenour) Bywater, and had resided in Hagerstown for the past 36 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Luray, Va., and was formerly employed by the Home Construction Company.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lydia (Hager) Bywaters; daughters, Miss Elva Bywaters, at home; Mrs. Lydia R. Schubert, this city; sons, Henry C. Bywaters and Frank E. Bywaters, both of Hagerstown; five grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Mabel Mauch, Baltimore; Mrs. Lillian Winters, Franklinville, N.J.; Mrs. Della Warrenfeltz, Funkstown; brothers, John E. Bywaters, Smithsburg; Elmer C. Bywaters, York, Pa.; and Bud Bywaters, Luray, Va. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
The body was removed to the funeral home of A.K. Coffman, where services will be held Saturday afternoon, at two o'clock, with the Rev. Elmer Rowland, officiating. Interment in the Boonsboro Cemetery.
