Mrs. Gibbs was born Maxine E. Webb on April 17, 1920, in Westfall. She was a retired nurse and worked for the Saline County Health Department for 13 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Laverne Gibbs, in 2001; and a son, Jarold Johnson, in 1998.
Survivors include a son, Marvin G. Johnson of Salina; a brother, Lyle Webb of Palco; and two sisters, Twila Easton of Wichita and JoAnn Vestal of Burnsville, Minn.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Saline County Health Department.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel.
