Charles F. Durst, 89, of Miles City, Dies

MILES CITY, MT. ----- Charles F. Durst, 89, of Miles City, died Wednesday morning in a local hospital of infirmities of age.

He was born April 16, 1874, at Transfer, PAQ.

At the age of 21, he came west and worked as a cowboy on various ranches in south-eastern Montana, and northern Wyoming.

He and his brother, at one time, hauled freight by ox team, between Bell Fourche and Pierre, S.D.

Later Mr. Durst homesteaded near Broadus, MT.

He has resided in Miles City for the past sixteen years.

Mr. Durst is survived by a sister, Mrs. J. O. Homer of Transfer, PA., and several nieces and nephews, including George Durst of Miles City. MT.

Funeral services will be in the Chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home Miles City, Saturday 2 p.m., with the Rev. Mr. John B. Fitz, of First Presbyterian Church officiating.

Burial will be in the Custer County Cemetery, Miles City, MT.
