Curtiss served his country and was in the Vietnam war in the Army receiving the Bronze star, the National defense Medal, RVNC medal, good conduct metal, RVN metal, and sharpshooter. His rank was military police. He left the Army as a E4 with a Honorable discharge listed June 6, 1969.
He loved Gospel and loved to sing. He loved his church and his Lord Jesus.
Curtiss Alan Stiverson, lived in Kingsville, Missouri. He departed his life in his home with having a heart attack.
He is the son of Arthur G. and Doris C. (Gregory) Stiverson.
On May 27, 1967, Curtiss married Betty Mae Miller in Independence.
Curtiss was employed as a Strander Operator for the Sedalia Wire Rope World Group, where he was a member of the Steel Workers Union.
He was a member of The Veteran of Foreign Wars Post #5844, Holden, and a former member of the Optimist Club in Sugar Creek.
He was also a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Angela Jeanette Stiverson.
He leaves behind his wife, Betty and daughters, Penny Stiverson and Elizabeth Catherine Baker.
