Calvin Franklin Elmore, 71, of Carlisle passed away November 9, 2012.
He was a loving Husband, Father and proud Grandfather to his grandsons. He was lovingly known by all as ‘Papa Cal'. Calvin was a member and usher of Carlisle United Methodist Church, former President of Carlisle Jaycees, and proudly served as a Marine Corps Captain and Vietnam Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Christine and Ellard Elmore, sister, JoAnn Elmore, and step-father, Basil Jennings.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Hamric Elmore; son, Rodney (Jennifer) Elmore of Lonoke; Christi Elmore (Jim) Smith of Catlettsburg, KY; brother, Bobby Joe Elmore of Carlisle; Grandsons, Sterling Elmore and Chandler Elmore both of Lonoke, and Taylor Smith and Drew Smith of KY; many
Aunts, Uncles, cousins and other relatives.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM, Monday at Boyd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Tuesday, November 13th at Carlisle United Methodist Church with interment at Hazen Cemetery.
