January 15, 1934, Glen Ridge, Essex County, New Jersey, USA) Grace was born in 1870 to James Cyrus Skinner (1836-1906) and Esther Amelia Snelling (1840-1906) ad her siblings include; Abner J. Skinner (1857-1929) who married Sarah M. Pond (1863-?), Robert Skinner (1859-?) who married Eliza, Algernon (Algie) E. Skinner (1867-c1938) who married Mary (Mamie) Caufield (1875-c1920) and later married Nora (Belle) Belle Piatt (1874-c1955), Flora M. Skinner (1867-1934) who married William Handrim and Clarence V. Skinner (1877-1902). In 1880 her family was living in Deerpark, Orange County, New York and her father was working as a fireman on the Erie Railroad that ran from Port Jervis through Otisville to Hoboken, New Jersey. In 1895 she married Frederick Jacob Balmos (1867-1932) and between 1900 and 1930 they were living in Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey. She died in Glen Ridge, Essex County, New Jersey in 1934 and she is buried in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Port Jervis, Orange County, New York.
