Son of William George Councilman and Susan Emma Hurd Councilman.
Carville, who resided at 1 Dickerson Street, Harrington, Delaware, served as a Firemen-Watertender, S.S. Richard Caswell, Merchant Marines during World War II.
Carville was declared "Missing In Action" along with a crew of 8 others when his ship was torpedoed in the Atlantic Ocean.
He had served with the Merchant Marines for fifteen years at the time of his death. He was decorated with the Mariner's Medal.
