Husband of Ethel Frances Shane Davis.

James, who resided at 432 West Commerce Street, Smyrna, Delaware, served as a Private First Class with the 358th Infantry, U.S. Army during World War II.

He enlisted in the Army on August 8, 1941, prior to the war, in Trenton, New Jersey. He was noted as being employed as a Driver and as being Married.

He was "Killed In Action" during the invasion of Normandy, France. He had served in the Army for two years and eleven months at the time of his death.
