Son of Leonard Evalee Burton and Anna Elizabeth Moore Burton.
Brother of Mrs. Donald R. Currie.
Frank, who resided at 616 North West Front Street, Milford, Delaware, served as a Private First Class with the Company B, 513th Parachute Infantry, U.S. Army during World War II.
He attended school in Huntington, Pennsylvania and upon graduation moved to Milford, Delaware to live with his sister. He was employed by Masten Trucking.
He enlisted in the Army on May 19, 1944 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was noted as Single, without dependents.
He was "Killed In Action" by sniper fire while on patrol making an attack on a house in a small German town.
He served with the U.S. Army for seven months and was awarded the Purple Heart.
