Son of Claude B. Voshell and Mae Schrader Voshell.
William, who resided in Summit Bridge, Delaware, served as a Yeoman First Class with the U.S.S. Mount Hood, U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was declared "Missing In Action" when the U.S.S. Mount Hood exploded, for unknown reason, and sunk in the Pacific Ocean during the war.
He had served in the Navy for two years at the time of his death.
It is believed that Claude B. Voshell was his step-father.
