Dymitry served as a Private First Class with the Cannon Company, 121st Infantry Regiment, 8th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Westchester County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on August 16, 1943 New York City, New York. He was noted as being employed in the building of aircraft and also as Single, with dependents.

Dymitry was "Killed In Action" at Blatzheim, Germany during the war and was awarded the Purple Heart.
