RUSH COUNTY RESIDENT DIES
Clennie C. Miller, age sixty-two, prominent farmer of Rush county, died at the W.S. Major hospital at noon Sunday. Death was due to complications arising from a stroke of paralysis suffered four years ago. He had been in a serious condition for one week.
Mr. Miller was born on May 1, 1881, in Walker township, Rush county, and had spent his entire life in that community. He was the son of William S. and Ina [C. Gardner] Miller. Early in life he was married to Dot Hilligoss. She preceded him in death in 1913. Three daughters born to this union survive. They are Mrs. Ralph Brown, of near Manilla, and Mrs. James Slinger and Miss DeQueen Miller, both of Indianapolis.
He was married in 1915 to Mrs. Ida M. Hill, who survives with two step-daughters. Mrs. Leslie Wakefield, of Indianapolis and Mrs. Leonard Smith of Chesterfield. Also surviving are four granddaughters, three brothers and one sister. The brothers and sisters are Omer, Carey [Carie] and Raymond Miller, Della M. Orem, all of near Rushville.
Mr. Miller was a member of the Christian Union Church of Homer.
Funeral services will be held at the D. E. Carmony funeral home in Manilla today at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jinnett officiating. Burial will be made in Pleasant Ridge cemetery east of Homer.
