Funeral services for Mr. Leslie Sproles Sr., 93, of Wisner, LA, will be held at South Central Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at 2:00PM with Rev. T. J. Boyd and Rev. Mike Devillier officiating. Interment will follow at South Central Cemetery under the direction Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mr. Sproles was born April 27, 1913 in Wisner, LA and passed away Sunday January 21, 2007 at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro. He was resident of Wisner, a retired farmer, and a member of the South Central Baptist Church.
He was preceded in Death by: Wife- Lela Anabelle Sproles, 3 Brothers, and 3 Sisters.
Survivors include daughter Dorothy Lee Jones of Bastrop, LA, son Leslie "Sonny" Sproles, Jr, of Wisner, LA, daughter Shirley Elizabeth King of Wisner, LA; 2 step sons William Curtis King of Natchez, MS, and James Lee King of Bastrop, LA;1 sister Lillian Smith. He was also survived by 13 grand children, 28 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grand children.
