FORT GIBSON — GLASS, Josiephine, 71, homemaker, died Saturday. Services pending, Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Tahlequah
Ft. Gibson, OK- Funeral services for Eliza Josiephine Glass will be held on May 3rd, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Freewill Baptist Church of Ft. Gibson with Pastor Tommy Honeycutt and Bill Drywater officiating. Interment will follow at Barber Cemetery in Barber Community in Cherokee County. Services have been entrusted to Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
Eliza Josiephine Glass was born on March 23rd, 1941 in Barber Community the daughter of Kyser and Mary (Hooper) Drywater.
Josiephine, as her friends and family loving called her, was a sweet and loving lady. She enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved working in the garden and picking beans and wild onions with her family. She loved to spend an afternoon with her family at their favorite fishing spot. She liked bingo and spending time with her many friends at the Ft. Gibson Nursing Center.
One of her favorite places on earth was her church, Freewill Baptist, and her many friends and church family she had there. She loved them dearly and she will be greatly missed there by all those fortunate to call Josiephine friend. The Lord called Josiephine to her heavenly home on April 28th, 2012 in Tulsa, OK with her family by her side. She was 71 years old.
Josiephine is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents and three brothers, Willie John Pettit, Roy Christie, and Andy Drywater.
Those left to cherish her memory include her brothers and sister, Big Joe Drywater of Ft. Gibson, OK, Sam Christie of Sallisaw, OK, and Annie Wildcat of Park Hill, OK, as well as many cousin and a host of friend and loved ones.
