"Geo. Elder, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Elder of Everson, and Miss Bernice Meyer of Bellingham, Route 3, were married Thursday evening at a very lovely wedding in St, Mark's Lutheran Church in Bellingham. Both young folks are graduates of Mt. Baker high school in Deming."

George earned his living as a logger, first in Washington State, then in the early 1960's he moved his logging operation to the area of Bozeman, Montana. When not working, he was known for his excellent wood-working skills, crafting such clever items as toys for his grandchildren, lovely pieces of jewelry, and attractive, useful pieces of furniture.

George and his first wife, Bernice, had two children. With his second wife, Aneita, he had a third child and two step-children. After he retired, George and Aneita returned to Washington state, where they lived for the remainder of their lives.
