Clarence George was the son of Elisha Virgil Hammock and Cora Maude Phillips. He was born in Marion Kansas and died in Yucca Valley California.
He married Ora Esther Wonder 4 April 1932 in Long Beach California.
He married Eloise Colleen Wonder 15 September 1952, Santa Ana California.
Clarence and Ora had five children.
Clarence Hammock, a native of Kansas, an 82 year resident of California and a 14 year resident of Yucca Valley, died at 2 a.m. Jan 28, 2003. He was 92 years old.
Born on April 3, 1910, to E. Virgil Hammock and Cora Phillips Hammock, Mr Hammock served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He enjoyed golfing and was an inventor.
With his brother, he was the owner of the Hambros Wire Rope Company. He was married to Eloise Wonder Hammock for 50 years; she preceded him in death, as did three of his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Colleen and Jack Rispin of Yucca Valley and Yvonne and Panos Takis of Lake Stevens, Wash., his sons and daughters-in-law Donald and Ahn Hong Hammock of Whittier, Ross and Barbara Hammock of Columbus, Ohio, and Paul and Diana Hammock of Santa Maria, California. His brother Paul P Hammock, of Phoenix, Az.; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
A service will be held at 3 p.m.Thursday at Braswell Assisted Living in Yucca Valley, with the Rev. Ron Scott of the Church of Religious Science officiating.
