Hanna(h) Abell married a Mr. Tripp (date unknown) and had 3 children with him: Sarah (born April 11, 1838 in Indiana), Elizabeth (born January 4, 1840 in Indiana), and Rosealthia (born July 1842 in Iowa).
While en route Westward with a wagon train, Hannah met ELBRIDGE TRASK in Fort Hall, Idaho. They were married October 20, 1847 in Clackamas County, Oregon. Elbridge and Hannah had five (5) children: George Elbridge (born June 12, 1849 in Clatsop County, Oregon), Eudora (born July 24 1853 in Tillamook, Oregon), William (born February 14, 1855 in Tillamook, Oregon), Charles (born January 28, 1857 in Tillamook, Oregon) and Avrilla "Avy" (born November 1858 in Tillamook,
Hannah would later marry David Morse in 1865 in Coos County, Oregon.
There is a picture of Hannah, along with one of Elbridge Trask, in the Tillamook Museum. They are to the right shortly after entering the Museum.
Hannah's daughter, Eudora, would marry William Martin Summers; their son, Elmo Martin Summers was my husband's paternal grandfather.
Hannah's final resting place is fenced off and overgrown. It is reportedly "owned' by the Confederated Tribe in Coos Bay/North Bend, Oregon. There is no known way to get inside the old cemetery (also known as the OLD EMPIRE PIONEER CEMETERY) at this time. Due to many storms on the coast, a lot of the cliffside has been eroded and some headstones have been lost. The extent of damages and erosion is unknown due to the locked fence.
