Freda McLaughlin

Freda I. McLaughlin, 78, of Batesville died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011, in a Batesville hospital.

Born Sept. 22, 1933, in Tuckerman, she was the daughter of Sylvester and Margaret Hall. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, John McLaughlin; two daughters, Anna Jean McLaughlin of Batesville and Margaret Kaye Hubbard of Southside; four grandchildren, John Lee McLaughlin, Miranda Root, Christopher S. Douglas and Brandon M. Williams; and a great-grandchild, Zachary Root.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Billy Hall; and two sons, Ronald Allen McLaughlin and Randy Lee McLaughlin.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Southside with Ronnie Toone officiating. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery in Bethesda under the direction of Willis Funeral Service of Batesville.

Pallbearers will be Chris Douglas, Brandon Williams, Gordon French, Charles McClusky, Harold Anderson and Darrell Gilmore.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
