Laurel Alice Williams was the daughter of Ken Williams and Kathy (Pace) Williams. A graduate of the Foothill High School Class of 2006, Ms. Williams was described as a people person who had a contagious smile and exuberance for life. She was finishing her last year at Las Positas Community College and was planning to transfer to San Diego State University to finish her degree.
She loved to spend time with family and friends and she especially loved children. In addition to being a member of St. Elizabeth Seton, Ms. Williams was also a dedicated bank teller at the Dublin Wells Fargo Bank.
Ms. Williams was the passenger in a Ford Mustang, driven by another 19-year-old woman, that collided head-on with a Mercedes SUV on Foothill Road, near Highland Oaks Drive on Saturday morning.
She is survived by her parents, Kathy (Pace) Williams of Pleasanton and Ken Williams of San Ramon; grandfather, Robert Pace of Pleasanton; aunts and uncles, Robert Pace II and wife Sally of Pleasanton, Clyde and Fran Ortiz of San Leandro, Lee and Elaine Williams of Kennewick, Wash., Jim and Pam Williams of Danville, Ill. and Karen Bergendahl. She also leaves behind sister, Quinn Williams of San Ramon, and brothers, Adam Brisentine, Paul Brisentine and Evan Brisentine, all of San Ramon, and many loving cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alice Pace and Boyd and Eva Williams.

The Laurel Alice Williams Foundation has been set up by Laurel's parents, with the commitment to provide an annual scholarship, inform youths on the consequences of their actions, help parents keep the lines of communication with their teens open and discourage teens from drinking and driving.
