JONES COUNTY: Richard Lawrence "Larry" Harper, 63, of Griswoldville Road, died Thursday, November 07, 2013, at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 2:30pm, Friday, November 15, 2013, at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville with Rev. James Cannon officiating.
Mr. Harper was born May 27, 1950, in Macon and had lived in Jones County for the past twenty-three years. He was the son of the late Charles Fredrick Harper and Stella May O'Shannassy Harper. Mr. Harper honorably served his country with the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam, earned the rank of Sergeant and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was also retired from Robins Air Maintenance Base where he worked as a sheet metal mechanic.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
